Plain answers.
And a person when you need one.
Start with the answers below. For anything else, ask Atlas in the chat, or write to us.
Ask Atlas
Atlas is our assistant. It answers from our own pages and the live build, says plainly that it is an AI, and hands you to a person whenever you ask.
Use the chat button at the bottom of any page. Our assistant answers right away, and a person follows up from 8 AM to 10 PM Pacific.
About Kestrel
What is ATON Kestrel?
Our own AI model family, built for trading. Market models make the decisions, a news reader can pause a bot on bad news, a second reader checks each call, and a small language model explains each decision in plain words.
Is it an LLM?
Not the part that decides. Our market models read prices, not text. A second reader, a larger language model, reads the same market less often, and a trade needs both to agree. A small language model of ours writes the explanations.
Can I trade real money with it?
Not yet. Everyone trades on paper until launch. When live trading switches on, it will be announced first.
Does it promise returns?
No. Kestrel is a tool, not advice. Every version is judged by its net return after real costs and its worst dip, and the results are shown honestly either way.
Is there an autopilot?
Coming to the trading app, on paper. Each plan runs a number of autopilot bots among its bots: Glacier 1 of 3, Arctic 3 of 10, Aurora 6 of 25 and Borealis 10 of 40, and the Strategy Lab add-on adds 3. Until a Kestrel version passes its tests, autopilot runs our rule-based strategies.
Versions
When is the first version?
The first will be ATON Kestrel ALPHA v0.1.0. No specialist passed its gate, so its training starts again from scratch on its own server. Every try is in the score log. It is released only after it passes its gate and exam and a founder presses Publish.
Do I have to switch versions?
No. You choose a version per bot. Weekly retrains ride along inside your version. New minor or major versions are your choice, and the last three minor versions stay available, with 90 days' notice before one retires.
The Eye and the add-ons
Is the Kestrel Eye free?
Yes, for everyone, until live trading switches on. After that the full Eye is in Borealis and Superfluid, and as an add-on for other plans; everyone else sees a view-only map.
What do the add-ons cost?
The Kestrel Eye is C$49 a month or C$490 a year, and the Kestrel Strategy Lab is C$89 a month. Both start when live trading opens. Borealis includes both. These are the full prices (band A); in a lower band they cost less, from the World Bank income classification.
Which pre-order packages include the Eye?
Permafrost, Deep Freeze, Absolute Zero and Superfluid include the full Kestrel Eye for life, including orders already placed. Frostbyte does not.
Are there signals in Discord and Telegram?
Not yet. Paper signals in our Discord and Telegram start when a Kestrel version passes its tests, for reservers and paying members. They will be paper only, and never advice.
API, desktop and email
When does the Kestrel API open?
After v0.1.0 is published. Join the waitlist and we will email you once. Sign in with Atheron, our OAuth API, is free today on the developer portal.
Will the desktop app run on my computer?
We expect it to run on Windows, Linux and Mac, best with an NVIDIA RTX 3060 or better, an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT or better, or Apple silicon, and more slowly without a graphics card. The list is confirmed at release.
How do I stop the emails?
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and a link to manage all your Atheron email.
What is ATON Constellation?
A free app, coming soon, that lends your idle GPU or CPU to Kestrel's research and earns points toward your plan. The Constellation page has the details and a points calculator.
