Kestrel Talon
Lock gains in, one step at a time.
The Kestrel Talon is the exit every Kestrel trade uses. Once the price covers your costs, it locks a step at a time and never lets go of a lock. Paper only until live trading opens.
// // how it works
How it works
Four rules, the same on every trade.
- It arms once the price covers your round trip costs: the fees on both sides, slippage and funding.
- From there it locks a step every 0.5% of the entry price.
- A safety stop sits at breakeven when it arms, then one lock behind the last. It never loosens, and it stops at the entry plus 5%.
- The trade closes when the price falls under the last lock by more than a small buffer, or reaches the safety stop. The buffer is half the coin's usual one hour swing, from 0.3% to 1.0%.
// // try it
Step through a trade
A made up long on paper: entry at 100, costs of 0.2%. Move the slider or press Play, and watch the Talon lock in as the price climbs.
Closed at +3.39%: the price fell through the last lock and its buffer.
Paper result after costs: +3.19%
A made up price path, not a real trade or a forecast. Paper only.
// // why it helps
Why it helps traders
It protects gains
Each step the price climbs is locked in. When the price turns, a good run is not handed back in full.
It takes emotion out
The rules decide when to close, not fear or hope in the moment.
The same on every trade
Manual trades, ladders, DCA, grids, autopilot, copy trading and signals all use the same Talon.
Yours to tune
Members can change the step, the cap and the arm point on the trading platform.
It limits losses on a turn
Before Talon arms, if a trade first moved at least 0.25% in its favour and then comes back to the entry, the reversal tightener moves the safety stop halfway to the entry (a long at 100 with a stop at 98: the stop goes to 99). It never loosens. Members can turn it off or set the trigger from 0.1% to 2%. It applies to single trades, not ladders or DCA.

Questions and answers
What is the Kestrel Talon?
The exit rule every Kestrel trade uses. It locks gains in steps as the price moves your way, and closes the trade when the price turns back.
When does it lock?
It arms when the price covers your round trip costs, then locks a step every 0.5% of the entry price.
What does the buffer do?
It gives the price a little room under the last lock, so a small dip does not close a trade that is still moving your way. It is half the coin's usual one hour swing, from 0.3% to 1.0%.
Can I change the step, cap or arm point?
Yes. Members can tune all three on the trading platform. The defaults are a 0.5% step, a 5% cap, and arming once costs are covered.
Does leverage change it?
No. The Talon is measured on price, not on leveraged profit, so it works the same at any leverage.
Is it on every trade type?
Yes: manual trades, ladders, DCA, grids, autopilot, copy trading and signals.
Is this real money?
No. Everything is on paper until live trading opens. Nothing here is advice or a promise of any result.
